Yin’s Sourdough Pizza, this is something not familiar by many people. I remember I last blogged about Yin’s Sourdough Pizza in 2017. 3 years since then, Yin has opened another branch in Tanjung Bungah and is known as Yin’s WholeFood Manufactory.
Yin’s Wholefood Manufactory in Tanjung Bungah is one of the new branches by Yin’s Bakery. This place is great for residents in Tanjung Bungah as many times the food options here are limited compared to town area.
The ambiance of this place is very cozy and parking should not be a concern here as there are plenty of parking slots available at the surrounding area even on weekends.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio – RM20. With Garlic Flakes, Homemade Bratwurst, Caramelized Mango, Chili and Basil.
The Aglio Olio here was very healthy as the Bratwurst (sausage) was homemade and tasted very flavourful. However, the pasta itself was lacking of the usual strong garlic punch and the saltiness level was not enough. Not sure if this is due to its healthy concept and the flavour was reduced.
Egg Benny Pizza – RM27. Roasted Tomato Sauce, House Made Chicken Luncheon Meat, Mozzarella, Spinach and Egg.
This is not the usual Pizza but instead a healthy pizza. The pizza crust was made from sourdough starter and this is the first of its kind in Penang. The egg at the center of the pizza is one of the unusual ingredients that could be found on a regular pizza, and it made this pizza unique and tasty at the same time. The healthy addition of spinach was not too much. Personally it would be a bonus for veggie lovers if more spinach were added. The appetizing homemade tomato paste with a sourish hint made one crave for more as it balanced off the richness of the other ingredients. The crust was crispy although it was slightly burnt on the edges.
Cappuccino – RM10, for coffee lover like myself as this is the cuppa that I will not miss out in any cafes.
Overall, this place serves healthy and delicious food at reasonable price. Another bonus point is there are plenty of parking slots surrounding this place even it is over the weekend.
