Viking Steakhouse – The Place for Steaks and Grills

If you looking for a place with great steaks and grills as well as excellent wines, look no further as Viking’s Steakhouse is just the place for you.

Located next to Sunflower Homemade Cakes, Viking’s Steakhouse has just open its doors to public for less than a week. Upon entering the main entrance, you will be greeted by their collection of red and white wines.

This cozy place is dedicated to those looking for a relaxing meal time with some soft music, red meat and wine.

There is also a seating area on the second floor which has a little bit more privacy and away from the noise.

Potato & Leek Soup – RM13. These two ingredients have always been the perfect match for each other. They were blended well and served with slices of garlic toast.

The soup was very creamy with a slight of saltiness. It was a very filling soup and the portion was generous.

Pumpkin Soup – RM13, the pumpkin was blended with lemongrass and served with garlic toasts as well.

The soup was naturally sweet due to the taste of pumpkin. The drawback of this soup was the existence of lemongrass fiber in the soup. The fragrance of lemongrass was great with the soup but if the fibers could be eliminated it will be perfect.

Australia Grain Fed – Tenderloin – RM39/100g, the beef tenderloin was grilled to the perfect doneness as requested. Serving together were some greens and homemade black pepper brown sauce.

The simple marination of using salt and pepper is good enough for the steak. The skill of controlling the fire is crucial in determining the doneness of the steak. The only drawback was the sauce that slightly overwhelmed the natural taste of the meat due to excessive of pepper.

Australia Angus – Ribeye – RM32/100g, ribeye steak which was also marinated with salt and pepper and served with homemade black pepper brown sauce.

The ribeye is one of the juiciest part. As for my personal preference, I like it to be done in medium rare. This is the best part of all as it has the right amount of fat and meat.

Australia Grain Fed – T Bone – RM22/100g, the t-bone was sliced into pieces for easier serving and sharing.

The portion of the T-bones can be shared with 2-3 pax. The juiciness of the steak still remained even with medium doneness. This dish is one of the signature dishes at Viking.

Red Sauce Beef Meatball Spaghetti – RM32, the standard spaghetti cooked with red sauce and beef balls, topped with shredded cheese and garnished with parsley.

Fra Diavolo – RM29, this is a spicy red sauce pasta served with mussels, prawns and a piece of scallop. The price was quite reasonable with this amount of seafood.

Pan Seared Salmon with White Sauce – RM39, Fresh slice of salmon which was pan fried and served with white sauce.

The salmon was fresh and portion was big. The white sauce tasted very appetizing and tangy. It paired really well with the rich-flavoured salmon. This is also one of their signature dishes.

Overall, the steaks here are the highlight of this restaurant. The steaks are priced according to weight (per 100g) due to the quality of meat and also the ambiance.
