There are not many places in Penang with a good variety and also tasty dim sum especially in the northern part of Penang island. Recently, SeaQueen Restaurant at Straits Quay has launched a wide selection of dim sum much to the delight of those staying in the area.
SeaQueen is a cozy Chinese Restaurant located at Strait Quay. Other than serving the usual lunch and dinner menu, they have now tapped into the dim sum market as well.

Most of the dumplings here tasted good. My favorite is the shrimp and scallop dumpling as the seafood tasted fresh. The roasted barbecue pork cake had a crispy outer layer with hot and tender inner barbecue pork slices. Another unforgettable dishes will be the braised beef noodle. The braised beef was so tender and full of aroma while the noodle was so bouncy instead.
Overall, the dim sum was good and the ambiance was also very comfortable. There is a multi-storey carpark at Straits Quay. As for the price, I would say it is considered reasonable judging by its location and ambiance. The ingredients used to prepare the dim sum were also very fresh. This is the ideal place for people living nearby to have dim sum without the hassle of going to town.
