Penang food always goes with trend. There were once everybody in Penang was into German food where German pubs and restaurants are at every corner in Penang. There are also times when Penangites were craving for Thai food. There were Thai stalls and Thai restaurants popping up just everywhere. As for recently, now is the trend for dessert. Everywhere in Penang, there are shops and booths for dessert. This is especially in shopping c0mplexes.
There are Taiwanese desserts and Hong Kong desserts available in Penang. Some of the few Hong Kong desserts which are very popular are Hui Lau San (许留山) and Tong Pak Fu (糖百府). Hui Lau San is famous for their their various mango desserts while Tong Pak Fu is famous for their comment which stated “Malaysian food sucks and luckily got Tong Pak Fu” by their brainless spokesperson 蘇施黃 “Sushi Wong”. The statement made was full of defamations.
Not to drag too far, Hui Lau San has always been famous for their mango desserts.

Glutinous rice ball in Mango puree and fresh Mango cubes, the usual glutinous rice ball is covered with freshly grilled mango puree and filled with mango slices.
Mango and coconut flavored ice cream with fresh mango cubes and nata de coco jelly slices. The combination of chilling and refreshing ice cream, chewy jelly and also juicy fresh mango was simply divine.
Mango flavored glutinous rice ball stuffed with mango cubes covered with decimated coconut. The glutinous rice ball was full of mango flavor no matter on the outside or inside. The skin was made with mango essence with the inner portion stuffed with real mango cubes. It was then covered with decimated coconut and served with some slices of mango.

Honey Jelly with Pomelo & Mango – RM6.90 (regular). Freshly blended mango with pomelo slices and mixed honey jelly.
Oh yeah, the burst of pamelo citrus in your mouth together with the juicy mango slices and the honey jelly really cooled you down on a sweltering hot day.
Overall, this place is dedicated for those who love mango and dessert. With such cozy ambiance, the price of the food here is considered reasonable. This is a place to hang out with all the family members for some light dessert.
