Four Points by Sheraton Penang has been around for some time. However, The Best Brew @ Four Points is a new hangout in town where you can have a glass of wine or some drinks to chill you day.
Four Points by Sheraton Hotel is also previously known as Tanjung Bungah Hotel. It is located at Jalan Tanjung Bungah. The hotel is just located along the road en-route to Batu Ferringhi. After by-passing the Chinese Swimming Club on your left, keep an eye for the hotel which is just a few blocks from the swimming club.
There is a bar counter which serves other drinks besides wine and beers. It is a relaxing place to sit and chit chat with friends after a long day.
For those who love socializing, there are cocktail tables specially for you to have a chat and some snacks.
There are pool tables where you can always have a few rounds with friends or acquaintances.
You will find some finger food prepared for those who wish to have some light food before starting their alcohol beverages.
Smoked salmon rolls with roe.
Egg salad on the zucchini.
There are a few selections of wine available here. If you are looking for Champagne try De Bortoli Sparking Brut N/V (Australia). It costs RM60+ per glass and RM250+ for a bottle.
White Wine list:
Parellada Torres Mas Rabell (Spain).
Glass: RM35+
Bottle: RM150+
For me, this white wine is a bit too mild and nothing much challenging. For those that love a milder taste, you can try this.
Bianco, Frescobaldi Remole Toscana (Italy)
Glass: N/A
Bottle: RM 170+
Remole is a better option as it is more fruity and flavoring.
Sauvignon Blanc, Deen Bortoli Vat 2 (Australia)
Glass: N/A
Bottle: RM 160+
Sauvignon Blanc has a much stronger taste. For those that love a thicker and fruitier taste this would be the best option.
Red wine list:
Carinena Garnacha, Torres Mas Rabell (Spain)
Glass: RM 35+
Bottle: RM 170+
Torres Mas has a milder taste regardless of white wine or red wine. The Torres Mas is good for beginners who are starting to get the feeling of good wine.
Sangiovese, Frescobaldi Remole Toscana IGT (Italy)
Glass: N/A
Bottle: RM 140+
As for Remole, I personally rank this Italian wine between Torres and Deen. The fruity taste is there but for my personal preference I still feel it is not strong enough.
Shiraz, Deen Bortoli Vat 8 (Australia)
Glass: N/A
Bottle: RM 160+
Australian wine has always been my favorite. For me, I prefer Shiraz compared to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. I love the peppery ending of the wine and also the full body of fruity flavor. This might not a preference for normal wine lovers.
Overall, this place is a great place for drinking and the ambiance is very cozy. There are varieties of drinks available here. This is the place which is great for relaxation and chilling. There are ample parking space surrounding the hotel.
