“Breath” is one of the latest art exhibition showcases that has a representation of the first breath of all living organisms when they are brought to this world.
The brainchild behind this project is none other than 31-year-old Onna Ariya. As a self-taught artist with a designer background from USM, Onna boasts a deep knowledge and passion for all things “watercolour”.
According to Onna, watercolour is a very forgiving medium and it is very easy to pick up, hence allowing her to feel the flow of colours through water. As an avid traveler as well, she draws inspiration from everything she sees and never misses to sketch it in the sketch book she carries around.
Onna’s talent knows no bounds as she brings her favourite drawings of nature to life. Her flora and fauna inspired creativity stems from her love for colour resolution, detailing and strokes of each masterpiece she brings to life. She combines western and oriental techniques in her painting style where her concept is oriental and watercolour techniques are western. She applies fine strokes and brushes for her artworks.
“Breath”, the art exhibition by Onna Ariya was launched on 8th November 2019 from 6pm to 7pm at G Art Gallery, Link Bridge at Level 1 to initiate the start of the exhibition which will be on display until 31st January 2020. Her paintings are all available for sale and for those who wish to purchase may approach the reception counter for assistance.
