Elite Avenue is popular among those who work in Bayan Lepas/Bayan Baru area. It has so many shops offering delicious and attractive-looking menu. However, not all restaurants are offering affordable lunch menu under RM10 per pax. If you are within a budget limit and looking for a quick lunch, one of the options is at Break n Eat Cafe.
Break n Eat Cafe is located at the corner and on the same row as Jinggo Dak Galbi Korean Food. It is catered for busy white-collars in that area who are looking for a simple and quick lunch.
Lychee Chicken – RM9.00, the chicken cubes were cooked with some sour plums, tomato slices and topped with some lychee. Serving together with it were white rice, some greens and omelette.
This is the signature dish of the cafe. The chicken was sourish, slightly salty and sweet. This dish was very appetizing and paired with rice perfectly. It comes with choice of pork as well.
Kong Poh Pork – RM9.00, the pork slices were pan fried with some dried chili, onions and dark soy sauce. Just like the Lychee Chicken, it came with some greens, omelette and rice.
The pork slices were slightly crispy on the outside. It tasted slightly spicy and the nice aroma of dried chili really boosted up the flavour of this dish. The kong poh set comes with chicken option as well.
Tomyam Fried Rice – RM6.00, the rice was fried together with tomyam paste with some squids and topped with fried egg.
The rice was nicely combined with the tomyam paste and the spiciness level of this dish was reasonable.
Seafood Tomyam Soup (Maggi) – RM8.00, the tomyam soup can be served with either rice noodle (beehoon) or maggi instant noodle. The usual ingredients you can find in this bowl of hot and spicy seafood tomyan soup such as shrimps, squids, fish balls and meat balls and garnished with mint leaves.
This dish is dedicated to Tomyam soup lovers. The soup was hot and spicy with a slight sourish taste. It definitely will make you salivate just by the look of this dish.
Fried Dry Ho Fun – RM6.00, the ho fun was stir-fried with dark soy sauce in high heat and added with some bean sprouts, vegetables and meat slices.
The fried ho fun was packed with wok scent. This is a typical Cantonese style dish.
Overall, the dishes here are simple and delightful. For those who are looking for affordable and quick lunch, this will be the most suitable place to be.
