Ah Lian Aunty Duck Drumstick Herbal Noodle Soup, Lumba Kuda Penang

Sometimes good food are not located along bustling streets or at prime location. A good food sometime is hidden in a secluded residential area.

One of the great duck drumstick noodle soup is found at one of the shop lots at Taman Lumba Kuda which is a distance away from main street. The stall is run by a few middle-aged ladies. That could be the reason this shop is known as “Ah Lian Aunty Duck Drumstick Noodle Soup Stall”.

The duck drumstick at this stall is always finishing fast. When we arrived by 10am, the duck drumstick noodle was already finished. Therefore you will need to make sure to be there by 9am to try out the duck drumstick noodle soup. Even if you do not manage to try out, they still have chicken drumstick or pork ribs noodle soup which are worth to try too.

Chicken Drumstick Noodle Soup – RM8.00, the drumstick had been double-boiled with the Chinese herbs and wolf berries and served with vegetables.

If you are like me who did not manage to get duck drumstick, this will be the alternative. The taste of the chicken drumstick noodle soup was as good. The aroma of the drumstick and the natural sweetness of the soup was so fragrant and delicious. The herbs in the soup are beneficial to our overall wellness.

Pork Ribs Noodle Soup – RM10.00,  the base of the soup is the as the above, but instead of duck or chicken drumstick, it was double-boiled with pork ribs.

Although soup base is similar to the chicken or drumstick, the taste of the soup was so much different. The soup was sweeter and the texture looked clearer compared to the chicken drumstick soup.

The price of the noodle soup is listed below:

Overall, this is a great place for herbal noodle soup. The taste was excellent when served hot and many ingredients were used to make the soup naturally tasty. The price of the food here is also reasonable. Although it is hidden in the residential area, the duck drumstick noodle soup is very popular and you will need to be there early to taste it.
