🚂 Our journey kicked off at the historic Old Port Weld Railway Station Signboard, nestled by the vibrant morning market. The aroma of Hokkien mee, curry mee, and lor mee tantalized our taste buds, offering a distinct flavor palette not found in Penang. And oh, the crispy “Char Boom” was a nostalgic delight!

🔥 The highlight? A fascinating visit to the My Charcoal factory, unraveling the secrets behind traditional charcoal-making. From the Sepetang Local Product Center to our serene stay at The Happy 8 Retreat, where the absence of TV and kettles invited a tranquil escape from the bustle.

⛵️ A tranquil river cruise exposed us to the sea’s hidden gems—a fish farm and thrilling eagle feeding. Then, a seafood feast at Kang Kao Restaurant left us craving more!

🌌 As dusk fell, we embarked on a magical boat ride to witness the breathtaking display of fireflies illuminating the night sky—a spectacle straight out of a fairy tale.

🛶 On our final day, we explored the “opposite port,” unveiling a century-old temple, an oasis secluded from vehicular traffic, accessible only by foot or motorbike via a quaint crossing bridge.
