Passions of Kerala, Brown Garden is a banana leaf restaurant that has been operating for more than 30 years in the neighborhood of Gelugor, Penang.

Passions of Kerala has been renovated and uplifted their facilities with certain of their dining area in air conditioning. Passions of Kerala is one of the few places in Penang where diners can enjoy a South Indian-style meal of rice on a banana leaf. The banana leaf set comes with three different vegetables as well as pappadom. These vegetable items are free to flow for a refill while diners are allowed to order varieties of side dishes. One of the signature dishes here is the fried bitter ground that almost exists on most of the tables here. The spicy and appetizing stir fry oyster mushroom is also another selling point of this restaurant where these mushrooms are plugged fresh from their farm. The mango lassi is also not to be missed at this place as they are thick and refreshing.
