Hua Hee in Hokkien dialect means “joyful and happiness”. According to the old teaching of Chinese methodology, Happiness is always better than prosperity. Therefore, the name of this shop is named as “Hua Hee”. The last review was in 2017 and today we are back again for another mouthwatering adventure.
Hua Hee Restaurant is a typical Chinese restaurant located at Taman Desaria, Sungai Ara. This small and cozy restaurant with air-conditioners is catered for small families or even small gathering with friends.

Four Season Combination
These are all the comfort food for the locals. It serves four types of dishes in a single platter. Each dish contains a unique flavor of its own.
Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crab Meat
Although this is not the real shark’s fin, the texture is very similar to the real shark’s fin. The flavor of the soup was packed with seafood sensation drawn from the scallop and crab meat. The taste of Chinese cooking wine “shao xin” was alao vivid in this bowl of seafood treasure.
Steamed Red Snapper with Cantonese Style
The red snapper was fresh and it blended well with the top grade soy sauce that made this dish simply excellent.
Steamed Chicken with Cordyceps Flower
The chicken was steamed in a wrapper with many herbs such as cordyceps flower. This produced a soft and hearty chicken meat texture which was both delicious and nutritious.
Braised Broccoli with Three Types of Mushroom
The stir-fried mixed vegetables which consisted of broccoli, 4 types of mushrooms and carrots was a simple but hearty dish for everyone.
Crispy Nestum Prawn
The prawns were deep fried and covered with nestum. This gave the fresh and tender prawns a coat of crunchy texture.
Pineapple Fried Rice
Similar to Thai style fried rice which consisted of pineapple, prawns and covered with some turmeric.
Our fulfilling course meal was ended with Kochabi ice cream potong (traditional ice cream sticks).
Overall, the food here was simple yet hearty and homey. The price was also very reasonable. However, parking space is limited during certain time.
