Before entering you will see the wax statues of Jacky Chan and Bruce Lee welcoming you. These figures are one of the famous selfie spots here.

西班牙猪大排 Spanish Iberico Ribs – RM14/100g
Iberico pork, also known as black pigs are imported from Spain and it feeds naturally on oak tree acorns. The texture of the meat will be a bit chewy indeed. The well marination of the meat with the herbs and sauces gave this dish an aromatic and delicious feel.

鱼翅灌汤饺 Imperial Dumpling Served with Shark’s Fin in Supreme Stock – RM18 each.
The Imperial Dumpling, as the name suggests, it is enormous and exquisite. For a small eater like me, this dumpling can feed 2 persons. The shark’s fin soup made the taste more outstanding and delightful.
虾米酱煎炒萝卜糕 Wok Fried Radish Cake with Egg & XO Sauce – RM9/portion
The radish cubes were fried with XO sauce and egg, and added with bean sprouts. The look of the radish cake was similar to “char koay kak” (a famous street delicacy in Penang). The slight spiciness of the XO sauce blended well with the wok aroma of the radish cakes, egg and bean sprouts.
佛钵夏果四宝蔬 Stir Fry Mix Vegetables with Macadamia Nuts – RM22/portion
The stir fried vegetables with macadamia nuts had a nice fragrance and bite texture. Although this seems to be a normal mixed vegetables dish, the taste was so nice and refreshing. In fact the deep fried yam ring was the highlight of the dish.
真真假假豆腐 Steamed Chef Special Bean Curds – RM22/portion
There are 2 types of tofu (bean curd) in this dish. The top portion was the homemade Japanese Tofu, while the second layer was the egg made “tofu” which tasted like tofu but was made out of egg. The texture was so soft and melted in the mouth.
避风塘脆炸茄子 Deep Fried Egg Plant with XO Chili Sauce – RM18/portion
Deep fried egg plant, this dish was not commonly found in Penang Chinese restaurants. This dish originated from Hong Kong and the texture was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
港式海鲜艇仔粥 Hong Kong Styles Seafood Congee – RM388/10pax
The base of this porridge was double boiled for long hours with pork ribs, then boiled again with crabs, fish fillets, shrimps and scallops to make this porridge naturally sweet and delightful.
桂花糕 Osmanthus Jelly – RM2/pc
This jelly was used to serve the Emperor in China in the ancient days. The jelly was chewy on the outside but melted in the month when eaten. The fragrance of osmanthus was vivid after taken and was something unforgettable.
Overall, the dishes at Imperial Court were well prepared and presented. It showcased the complexity of Chinese culinary which is usually time-consuming. The taste of the food was delightful and unique. Due to the location and uniqueness of the dishes, the price of the food was on the high side.
