4Fingers Crispy Chicken, Gurney Paragon – Finger-Licking Delicious

4Fingers, the title of this restaurant doesn’t ring a bell to me. It might mean that a person who is less fortunate and only has four fingers or the taste of the food here is so good that you lick almost all of your fingers except one???

4Fingers has recently opened in Penang at Gurney Paragon Mall. This is the place for fried chicken lovers and also for someone that loves spicy and crunchy chicken.

4Fingers started from a single store in ION Orchard Singapore back in 2009. In just two years, another six stores joined the movement. Since then, there are three strong allies – Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. And there will be more in the pipeline.

When you stepped into the store, you will find almost everyone is licking fingers, if not all five fingers then should have at least four.

6pcs wingettes/drumettes combo meal = RM19.70. A la carte = RM15 The crispy chicken comes in two flavors – Soy Garlic and Hot & Spicy. You can even have them mixed. 6 pieces of wingettes/drummetes or 3 pieces of chicken drumsticks are priced at 3pcs drumsticks combo meal = RM19.70 A la carte = RM15. The option of the fries can be in plain, kimchi or seaweed.

The sweet and spicy sauce was well marinated into the chicken wings, after fried it was then served hot. The taste of the chicken wings was both crispy and tender. The way the fries is served is also something unique as they come with a choice of kimchi or seaweed seasoning powder. For my own preference, I still love the seaweed taste compared to kimchi.

Chicken katsu sandwich combo meal = RM19.70. A la carte = RM15, this sandwich bread was deep fried and stuffed with a mixture of chicken and salad, blended in kimchi sauce.

The taste of the sandwich was nice as the crunchiness and the spiciness of the 4fingers chicken slices mixed well with the kimchi based salad. All together these few items made a tasty and unique sandwich.

Signature Honey Yuzu – RM5.90, the Japanese Honey Yuzu was one of the specialty drinks here.

Yuzu in Japanese is also known as Citrus junos, this drink was very refreshing and appetizing. The only drawback of this drink was it had a slight bitterness in it.

The menu of 4Fingers is as below:

Overall, the chicken tasted great due to its marination and preparation which managed to retain its crunchiness when served. This concept stall is targeted at young generations as well as those who enjoy seasoned fried chicken. The price of the food here was slightly on the high side maybe due to its location and concept.
