If I were to say burgers at Hard Rock Cafe is one of the best in Penang, I think most people will agree with me. Every year around this time, Hard Rock World Burger will be around the corner while this time the World Tour Burger is back with Hard Rock Local Legendary Burgers inspired by the taste and flavors from cafe locations around the world. The World Burger Tour begins from May 2 until June 29, 2018.
I have always been wondering why many people would go for burgers when they are at Hard Rock Cafe. After tasting the burgers from different cultures, it has become clear to me why Hard Rock Cafe has one of the best burgers in town.
All the burgers are priced at RM65.00 nett each and every burger comes with fries and a special dip sauce.
Tropical Burger (Key West, Fla, United States) – A Feta cheese burger in paradise, made with grilled pineapple, jalapeno mango salsa, turkey bacon and fresh arugula on a toasted bun served with seasoned fries and special sauce.
The taste of this burger was so “Aloha”. This burger had a tropical taste rather than the typical American burger taste. This is something unique and is one of my favorites here.
Banh Mi Burger (Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam) – Coated in tangy house-made Vietnamese glaze, topped with sliced cucumbers and pickled vegetables, accompanied with cilantro and green onions all on a signature burger patty served with seasoned fries and Vietnamese sauce.
Similar to the taste of Banh Mi, the difference here is the use of homemade beef patty. The rest of the ingredients and sauce are very much like the Vietnamese Banh Mi. The outcome of this creation was very appetizing and savory.
Date Burger (Dubai, UAE) – A classic burger patty enhanced with Hard Rock’s rich date chutney, diced dates and softened cream cheese, topped with crisp lettuce and vine-ripened tomatoes served with fries and special sauce.
One of the main ingredients that makes this burger taste like Middle Eastern cuisine is the Kurma (diced dates). The burger was on the sweet side due to the kurma and is definitely not my cup of tea.
Lancashire Hot Pot Burger (Manchester, United Kingdom) – be prepared for an authentic adventure with this juicy 1/2 pound beef petty, paired with corned beef hash, topped with HP sauce, cheddar cheese crumbles and sliced beetroot served with seasoned fries and beet root mayo coleslaw.
This is a typical type of burger which is packed with generous amount of cheese. The specialties of this burger include the use of sliced beet root and HP sauce in the beef patty. This is dedicated to the Europeans longing for the taste of their burgers back home.
There are also drinks available at Hard Rock Cafe known as “Hits Of The Season”
Classic Caribbean Mojito (with Alcohol) – RM35.00 nett. Barcadi White Rum, Havana Rum (3 years), fresh lime juice, Puree Bairon Mango, ginger ale, mint leaves and garnished with mint sprigs.
Southern Style Lemonade (without Alcohol) – RM23.00 nett. Monin Watermelon, lemonade, mint leaves, lemon wedge and garnished with mint sprigs.
For those looking for a place with live music, good burgers and chilling drinks, this will be a great choice.
Overall, I love the homemade patties of the burgers here. For those who can’t take beef, they can opt for chicken patty instead. However, the price of RM65.00 nett for each set of burger is considered on the high side. Nevertheless, the burgers tasted unique and delicious and with a cozy ambiance, this is one of the nice places for family and friends to hang out.
