I remember I used to love to visit one of the restaurants at Gurney Paragon with the name of Javrie’s Restaurant & Pizzeria, this restaurant used to have a specialty which was the ramen burger – a type of burger which replaces bread with ramen. Unfortunately, the restaurant had been closed down and taken over by Eld’s 22 Pasta & Grill.
Eld’s 22 is a new restaurant that serves affordable and good set lunch. Set lunch starts from 11pm – 4pm.
Eld’s set lunch includes a choice of fruit punch to quench your thirst or a cup of black coffee to complete your meal.
The soup of the day we had was Creamy Pumpkin Soup. The soup had the right creaminess and the taste of the soup was nice. The only thing I found is the saltiness of the soup was slightly on the high side.
Choices of side dishes are as below:
- A carb full of rice
- Signature Napolitan Spaghetti
- Creamy mashed potatoes
- Cajun seasonal french fries
There are few options of set lunch available:
Spicy Baked Fish – RM17, the baked battered fish, served with Tabasco sauce and covered with cream cheese topping and served together with some fries and greens.
The taste of the fish was quite fresh while the Tabasco sauce was very hot. For those that unable to take high level of spiciness, you may want to reconsider other dishes.
Stuffed Chicken – RM17, the chicken was stuffed with spinach and some cream cheese. Topped with some herbs it was then baked to perfection. Together with this dish were some greens and some mashed potato.
The mashed potato and the greens were nnothing too spectacular. On the other hand, the stuffed chicken is the highlight of the dish. The mixture of the veggie and the chicken meat was well-balanced and the taste of the cream cheese really blended well and gave the right level of richness to the dish.
Lastly to tip off the meal was some home-made chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream.
The richness of the chocolate fudge cake was covered and balanced up by the vanilla ice cream. The combination of both dishes can only be described in a single word – divine.
Overall, this place serves reasonable and good lunch sets. The presentation of the food consists of well-balanced diet which is suitable for persons with dietary concern. The taste of the food was also just right and not too feeling or rich.
